Summer's In the Air

Last friday, i finished the last semester of my freshman year! Finals were definitely harder than last semester but they still went very well. I have two weeks off while only working at ChickfilA and in three weeks I will start working at a summer day camp. Also, in two weeks I start summer classes :( The fun part is, I am taking them with a friend who attends Grace College. I am only taking two classes, American Lit and Music Appreciation, which will not be hard at all.
At the end of june, my family is going on vacation out to see my dad's family in pennsylvania. Then, the third week of August I move into my dorm up at Bethel College!
I am glad my freshman year is over and I am excited for summer to get into full swing!

Which Genre Are You?

so...as you can see i added a playlist to my blog :) i mainly did it so that i would have all my favorite music to listen to in one place while working. I also did it for your entertainment :) For me, i like seeing what other people like and most of the time end up liking it myself; so i decided to include 100 of my favorites (plus 10 extra because i just couldnt keep them out!) i know you probably wont listen to all of them, but atleast you can have a wide range to choose from :)
unlike some people, i like a wide variety of music as you may see :)...Todd Agnew I first heard of from the song My Jesus, i LOVE that song and posted a couple more of his songs that i like...Toby Mac I will have to say used to hate it:) but my brother loves it so i listen to it every so often. there were some songs that i actually grew to love and if you're talented enough to understand what he's saying :), the songs have a great message!...Francesca Battistelli is newer but i especially love two of her songs...FFH i have liked for a long time but could only find one of their songs that i liked online...Fisher, actually i didnt know who wrote this song. i loved this song and have heard it on tlc but couldnt find it until chris uploaded it to her playlist so thanks!...the next several songs listed were on chris's blog, i had never heard of them before but really like them when i listened to them! i hope you dont mind me stealing your music :)...He Never Failed Me Yet was a song that we sang last year at school and i loved it! there was only one recording online and it isnt the best but im glad i can still listen to it :)...my mom got me hooked on barry manilow so there is a section on him...enchanted is one of my favorite movies so i had to include some songs from that :)...HSM i just had to add because im weird like that...my dad got me hooked on simon and garfunkle...matthew west, jeremy camp, and mark schultz are just common favorites that i added as well...beach boys i have enjoyed for a very long time...and one of my best friends introduced me to the band newsong which i enjoy also. ENJOY!

A Yummy Healthy Snack

INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup raisins and/or chocolate chips
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter (optional)
DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, stir together the rice cereal raisins/chocolate chips, and oats. Set aside. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Combine the brown sugar, (peanut butter), and corn syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat just until boiling, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla until smooth. Pour over the cereal and oat mixture, and mix well.
Press into the prepared pan using the back of a large spoon. Allow to cool, then cut into squares

I had to make a healthy snack for my health and nutrition class and these are actually really good...really easy too! :)

Letter of Acceptance

I haven't posted in FOREVER...but life has been hectic and all of the above. I have one important announcement however: as long as everything works out, I will be attending Bethel College in the fall! I am majoring in exercise science there for three years and then have to complete my licensure somewhere else after that. I am so excited and can't wait for summer to start, then end, and then start a new semester! I never thought I would ever be so excited about starting another year of school, but now it is possible :) I am going to visit friday and spend the night there with a friend who plays on the bethel volleyball team. Then, in June, I go up for registration and get my fall semester schedule all lined up. IM SO EXCITED!
